Position Summary:
Manage the accounts receivable of all Thermo King American operations
(including South America minus Brazil) and manage all related credit and
collection activities in order to minimize credit risk while maximizing
the cash performance of Thermo King, NAD and Service Parts. On a monthly
basis manage approximately $110M in receivables while obtaining a
collection percentage in excess of 92%.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct and manage the credit and collections activities for all
of North America, Central America and for all NAD direct sales in South
America except for Brazil.
- Lead a team of 4 local direct reports and 1
remote direct report to achieve year-over-year improvements in
collection metrics and business partnering.
- Analyze the financial condition of major accounts and determine
appropriate credit exposure strategies that are consistent with economic
and commercial conditions.
- Conduct an annual credit evaluation of all
dealers.
- Negotiate the terms and conditions pertaining to international Letters
of Credit required to secure all export shipments from the USA and from
Denmark.
- Coordinate with Thermo King Marketing, the financial
evaluation and recommendation of new NAD dealers to Thermo King
management.
- Review and approve methods to support sales objectives
with marginally financed customers.
- Provide timely and accurate
analysis of monthly receivables by account to alert Thermo King
management of potential collection problems.
- Develop and implement
settlement strategies with non-paying accounts that may include securing
Thermo King through the personal finances of the prospective customer or
dealer.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. in business administration, economics, finance or associated
discipline along with 5-7 years experience in credit and collections in
a dealer/distributor environment.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of
commercial credit and collection practices.
- Fluency in Spanish is a
plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time
